October at Skydive Seneca Lake – Friends, Views, and a Bittersweet Goodbye

October left us with great memories, new friends, and views we’ll be talking about all winter.

We’re closing the season on November 4, and yeah,  it’s a little sad to say goodbye for now. The good part? It’s the perfect time to plan your next jump, whether it’s your first or your next hundred.

You can also grab a gift certificate for that special someone, the kind of present that comes with blue skies.

This isn’t a farewell, just a see you later. We make your dream of flight real, every single time.

STORIES FROM THIS MONTH

Full Circle — From First Jump To Instructor

When he first jumped here in 2021, he was 19 and working as a parachute packer to pay for every jump. Fast forward to now, he’s back at Skydive Seneca Lake, not as a student, but as a Tandem Instructor, AFF Instructor, and Commercial Pilot.

Seeing him come full circle hit home for all of us. It’s proof that one jump can open a lifetime of possibilities, and sometimes even a career in the sky.

If you’ve ever thought about trying it, start where he did: one tandem jump, one leap, one story that’s just getting started.

Last First Jump Course Of The 2025 Season

October started strong with our final First Jump Course of the 2025 season, and the vibe couldn’t have been better. We had a solid group of students ready to take that leap, part excitement, part nerves, all heart.

By the end of the day, those first jumps turned into high-fives, laughter, and that look everyone gets after realizing they just did it.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the last FJC of the year. You made it one to remember.

Leaf-Peeping Season

ree

If you ask us, the Finger Lakes are beautiful from any angle, but nothing beats seeing them from 13,000 feet above the ground, centered perfectly between Seneca and Cayuga Lake.

With fall colors still holding strong, it’s the perfect time to take one last jump before we close for the season. We’re open through Monday, November 4, then taking a short break until May 1, 2026.

So, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to make that leap, this is it. Come celebrate spooky season the best way we know how: in freefall. Jumpable costumes welcome.

IT’S GIFT CARD SEASON

Grab Your Gift Cards

If it’s worth celebrating, it’s worth jumping for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, “just because.” Gift cards keep it simple: buy now, they pick the date, and the sky does the rest. They’re good for tandems, training down the road, or even media.

Looking for something specific? You can gift Dual Media (all photos + video) for $135. It plugs into any jump package and includes a full HD edit so they can relive the day start to finish.

Give them the Finger Lakes from 10,000+ feet, and a story they’ll tell all winter.

NEW FLYERS IN THE FAMILY

Beautiful weather, calm air, and three more students officially earning their A-License, not a bad way to close out October. A few others got their first dual instructor jumps in too, setting themselves up for next season.

We couldn’t be prouder of how far this crew has come. Every canopy, every dock, every landing, each one tells a story of focus, effort, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

Inspired by their stories? You can be next. Our student program is built to take you from your first jump to earning your A-License, with guidance and support at every step.

HEARTS IN FREEFALL

Can you make a perfect heart at 13,000 ft? This tandem did, and the result was a photo, and a memory, that says everything we love about skydiving.

We’ve seen couples form hearts mid-freefall, friends celebrate milestones above the clouds, and families turn a single jump into a story they’ll tell forever. That’s what makes this place special; it’s not just about the altitude, it’s about the people who share it.

Our gift cards capture that same spirit. They’re not just cards; they’re open doors to moments like this, ones you’ll remember long after the parachute’s packed.

REVIEWS THAT MAKE US SMILE

ree

I can not express what a perfect place this is to go skydiving for the first time! It was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Everyone who works here will make you immediately feel at home and ready to take the leap. From gearing up to landing I felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. Their positive energy eased any and all fears. Can't wait to bring people back here!!

Hearing things like that never gets old. It reminds us why we do what we do, to make every jump unforgettable and every skydiver feel part of the family. - Sabine Paz-Le Draoulec

If you’ve jumped with us and haven’t left a review yet, now’s the time. Tell us what made your day, your flight, or your landing one to remember.

That’s a wrap for 2025, a season full of first jumps, big smiles, and views we’ll never forget.

Thank you for flying with us, laughing with us, and making Skydive Seneca Lake what it is.

We’ll keep the sky waiting for you.

See You Next Season
