Each September, families gather at Seneca Lake for The Compassionate Friends’ annual Butterfly Release Tribute. It’s a moment of remembrance and beauty, messages written, folded, and carried skyward. The butterflies, crafted from plantable paper with wildflower seeds, remind us that memory takes root and blossoms. This year marked the 4th tribute, and we are honored to host such a heartfelt tradition on our lakeshore.

Leaf-peeping season is officially here, and there’s no better vantage point than above the Finger Lakes. Last year gave us skies painted with crimson, gold, and fire-orange, and this season promises the same breathtaking views. NEW FLYERS IN THE FAMILY – A LICENSE MILESTONES
Sydney & Jiji, two journeys, one goal. Sydney brought her passion for learning and joy to every jump, while Jiji pushed herself to new heights, completing 12 student jumps in just three days. Both now hold their A-License, and we couldn’t be prouder to see their dedication take flight.
Hard work, focus, and determination led Ron to earn his USPA A-License. From ground school to every jump in the sky, his journey showed the kind of persistence that inspires our entire community.
